2010 Sprogs--You decide where!
Many of you participated in the nomination process last month! The results are in, and the Training Committee has narrowed the field to ensure that all possible locations meet specific organizational and campaign strategic criteria.
Now it's up to you! We hope to run between 6-8 Sprog in 2010 at a minimum, but the regions that get priority will be the ones that can show the most grassroots support through engaging in some grassroots fundraising. Each of the 11 approved regions must meet a minimum of $3000 in fundraising, from there, the number of programs will be determined by collective efforts; the more y'all can raise above the $3000 threshold, the more programs we'll be able to offer!
If you live in or near one of the 11 regions, you can help ensure that youth in you region benefit from the skills and training, community building, and grassroots empowerment that make Sprogs the SOUL of the youth climate movment! You can help in the following ways:
- Make a contribution in support of your deepest values; give to support a Sprog in your region.
- Ask other people in your region to give; investing in a clean and just energy future is hero's work, ask your friends and family to be heros in your community.
- Join the Regional Fundraising team for your region to help craft a plan and strategy for raising the resources needed to make sure your region benefits from a Sprog next summer.
