Campuses Beyond Coal

Campuses Beyond Coal is a campaign to move our nation's universities beyond coal to 100% clean energy solutions. We aim to retire the entire fleet of campus owned coal plants and end our schools' dependence on the coal-generated electricity they purchase.

Spotlight: Missouri University of Science & Technology Switching off Coal to Geothermal
This science and tech school, known widely for its mining engineering program is shutting down their campus coal plant and switching to a 100% geothermal energy system! The annoucement comes just months after students started pushing for retirement of the plant and serves a challenge to other universities in the state - namely Mizzou where students have been campaigning for the past year and half to get their university to make a similar commitment.
